Former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick is proving to be a better coach with the Austrian national team than he was with Manchester United......READ THE FULL ARTICLE>>>
Recall that Rangnick was appointed interim manager at Manchester United last season after the club sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjær. Based on his track record as one of the good coaches from Germany, a lot was expected from the German tactician at Old Trafford.
However, the reverse was the case. Manchester United still struggled under Rangnick. They failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League and recorded their worst point finish in the club’s history.
Rangnick was supposed to step down as interim manager at the end of the season to assume a consultancy role at the club. But he got a job offer to become Austria’s head coach. He took the job and left all roles at Manchester United.
Under his tutelage, Austria has produced positive results in the ongoing UEFA Nations Cup. They defeated Croatia 1-0 in their opening group fixture. Yesterday they held world champions France to a 1-1 draw.
So far he is doing a better job with ab average Austria team compared to Manchester United where he had an array of stars at his disposal.
