Xavi Hernandez, in this regard, has his task cut out, as he looks to offload a bunch of unwanted stars in an attempt to free up the budget and target new players.

A recent report from Mundo Deportivo has offered an update on Barcelona’s plans to offload their fringe players, with Xavi recently informing up to four players to leave the club at the end of the season.

The list includes French defensive ace Clement Lenglet. The former Sevilla star has fallen out of favour at Camp Nou and is set to be replaced by new signing Andreas Christensen in the upcoming season.

Barcelona had offered Lenglet to Sevilla as part of the deal to sign Jules Kounde as well, but it appears Los Nervionenses are holding out for a cash-only deal.

Oscar Mingueza has been asked to leave the club as well. Despite his versatility and age profile, the Spaniard is not highly rated by Xavi, with the coach open to his potential sale at the end of the season.

Martin Braithwaite and Riqui Puig are the other players that have been informed to leave Barcelona. Neither of them has any future at Camp Nou, having fallen behind in the pecking order.

There were already whispers of Braithwaite potentially seeking a move away from Camp Nou in the summer, amid his World Cup aspirations.

Puig, meanwhile, has recently attracted the interest of Celta Vigo, with Barcelona reportedly willing to sanction his sale for a fee of €5 million.

In addition to these four players, the report indicates other players such as Neto Murara and Adama Traore are aware of their dwindling prospects at Camp Nou and will leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
