Brazil’s passage to the quarter finals wasn’t really difficult as they sailed through with the hope of running over their next opponents, Croatia the last editions finalist.

Although Brazil tried their possible best but it wasn’t good enough as the first half looked like it was going to be an open door but refused to bring any positive results.

The second half wasn’t really better because both teams still struggled to put things inorder untill the regulation time lapsed and there were few words from their Coaches.

Brazil’s Neymar scored a goal that many thought would definitely be the winning goal in the 105 minute in the extra time but super Substitute, Croatia’s Petkovic surprisingly levelled to hold the Former Champions to a draw which forced them to a Penalty Shootout.

Croatia Goalie, Livakovic denied Rodrygo while Marquinhos hit the woodwork as Croatia scored all 4 kicks to make it 4-2 on penalty shootout. Neymar’s Brazil are out of the competition but Lucas Modric’s leadership with Croatia continue in the tournament as the picked the Semi Final ticket.

In the second quarter Final Game, Messi’s Argentina weren’t bad from the start of the game against Luis Van Gaal’s Netherlands as they got a goal in the 35th minute through Molina from a super Messi assist, to secure the half for Argentina.

Messi himself scored from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute to double the south Americans lead in what looked like the end of the tunnel for Netherlands.

However, Weghorst fighting spirit pulled one goal back for the Dutch, 7 minute from time and shockingly doubled Netherlands efforts in the 11th minute of added time to force Argentina to an extra time extension as it ended 2-2 in regulations period.

The Netherlands were more defensive in the extra time, keeping Argentina off by digging it behind the balls. Even though there was a huge threat by the South Americans, no goal was scored as the game went into penalty shootout.

Lionel Messi and Parades scored their first 2 penalties for Argentina to forestall confidence while Van Dijk and Steven lost for Netherlands. Enzo Fernandez lost his kick for Argentina to raise some tension but Lautaro Martinez secured the Semi Final ticket for Argentina as Messi side won on 3-4 penalty kick.
