According to him, the root cause of a failed marriage is often a character trait carried into the union without being addressed or corrected earlier in life

He said, “People don’t have marital problem in marriage, please listen, nobody has marital problem in marriage. It’s a character you front from childhood that you did not work on that destroyed your marriage, I’ve showed you from scriptures.

Furthermore, He elaborated that characteristics like stubbornness, arrogance, or defiance, which may lead to marital discord, are typically ingrained in individuals during childhood.

If these traits go uncorrected by parents, they persist into adulthood and can negatively impact relationships, becoming a significant factor in the breakdown of marriages. Pastor Ibiyeomie emphasized the importance of addressing and rectifying such childhood behaviors to foster healthier marriages.

He added, “You are very stubborn, very saucy, your parents did not correct you, you’re always arrogant, if they talk to you, you say; ‘No, Nobody should talk to you’, from there you carry it, when you get into the marriage, that character did not change, so that character enters into the marriage, that’s how the marriage crashed.
