The current Champions League format has a 32-team slot. While some teams will automatically via their league positions, others will have to go through the qualification rounds to play in Europe’s elite competition.

At the moment 16 clubs have booked a spot in next season’s champions league. In England, Manchester City and Liverpool have picked two of the four automatic qualification spots.

La Liga champions Real Madrid and second-placed Barcelona have also qualified. In Italy, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli and Juventus are the lucky four.

In Germany Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Leverkusen have also qualified. PSG are the only team from Ligue 1 that has secured qualification.

The remaining four teams that have qualified so far are FC Porto, Sporting CP, RB Salzburg and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Sixteen spots are still up for grabs and they will be gradually filled up in the coming weeks as most leagues are almost wrapping up for the season and league table finishes will be official.
