Argentina under Diego Maradona’s captaincy won the second edition of the of the Finalissima while France won the first edition of the title.
After tonight’s game, Lionel Messi was awarded the man of the match award (MOTM), becoming the third player in football history to win such an award. It’s a huge accomplishment for the Argentine international and one that would be written down in Argentina’s history.
Messi has had an average season for PSG in Ligue 1 but this title win with Argentina will undoubtedly lift up his spirit heading into the off-season.
