Some clubs saw most of their summer or winter signings contribute significantly to their team’s success while others didn’t. The likes of Newcastle United benefited from the winter transfer window.
Eddie Howe’s side signed the likes of Kieran Trippier and Bruno Guimaraes from Atletico Madrid and Lyon respectively and both players contributed to the club’s English Premier League relegation survival.
Without further ado, below is the best signing of each English Premier League club last season:

Romelu Lukaku’s move to Chelsea from Inter Milan last summer was one of the most expensive in the English Premier League. The Belgian striker was signed as Chelsea looked to win the English Premier League.
However, Lukaku was underwhelming last season as he was plagued with off-field comments and injuries. He managed 15 goals and two assists in all competitions but he is Chelsea’s best signing of the 2021/22 season because Chelsea’s other signings were worse.

Cristiano Ronaldo finished last season as the third-highest goalscorer in the English Premier League with 18 goals.
The signing of the five-time Ballon d’Or award winner was meant to help the club challenge Liverpool and Manchester City for the title. However, the Red Devils finished in the sixth position.
Despite all these, the Portuguese superstar still gave a good account of himself throughout the season. He won the English Premier League Player of the Month award twice, Manchester United’s Player of the Month award four times, and the EPL Goal of the Month award once.
He scored 24 goals in all competitions last season.
