He raised concerns about the effect of the eight year tenure of the Buhari administration on security, highlighting the pervasive influence of factors such as religion, tribe, and ethnicity in political decision-making.
He said in an interview with Vanguard, ”What we have witnessed in the eight years while the Buhari administration is the complicit lines of actions played by religion, tribe, ethnicity, etc and how they informed decisions at the political strategic level of decision making.
We saw persons with close relationships with terrorists being appointed into Buhari’s cabinet. We witnessed top government officials lobbying amnesty for terrorists etc.
