He recently made this known through his official Twitter page while reacting to the letter of Former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
Recall that Obasanjo had in a letter criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of allegedly manipulating the election in favour of some politicians.
He however summoned President Buhari to fulfill his promise of a free and credible process by conducting a rerun of the election exercise in polling units where the Electoral Act was not obeyed.
In brief, Bashir said: ” Chief Olusegun Obasanjo wants President Muhammadu Buhari to interfere with our electoral process halfway. The President would never do that, he always allow such institutions to work independently”.
