Nunez has stated trophies as one of the reasons behind his move to the Merseyside club. He says, “One of the reasons why I came here to Liverpool, to win trophies and titles. I want to win a lot of trophies at Liverpool. I hope I can give everything that I’ve got in order to help the team.”
Liverpool striker, Sadio Mané is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich and Liverpool seems prepared for his departure with the signing of Nunez. Nunez is now expected to share the goal burden with Mohamed Salah and probably Liverpool can put up a strong challenge for the Premier League next season.
The race for the Premier League Golden Boot is expected to get tougher next season, with Manchester City and Liverpool signing new strikers already.
