With this change in the list, here is a strongest starting XI line-up for Nigeria that could give the Super Eagles a win in their first ever meeting with the Fernando Santo’s side:

Omonia Nicosia’s Francis Uzoho is expected to be in between the stick at the heart of the goalpost considering his current and consistent run of form most especially under their new manager where he has established himself as the preferred number one choice of goalkeeper, with Watford’s William Troost-Ekong and Hoffeinhem’s Kevin Akpoguma to pair at the central defence alongside Ajax Amsterdam’s Calvin Bassey and Empoli’s Tyronne Ebuehi to be deployed at the left-back and right-back position respectively to complete the four-man defence line.
