Garnacho has been impressive for United this term, particularly in the Europa League group stage.

Manchester United are keen to extend the contract of the Argentinian, who signed for the club from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Along with Chelsea, the Gunners’ interest is intriguing, given it is almost unthinkable that United would even consider allowing one of their top young talents to join a Premier League rival.

However, despite the interest from Spain, and other European giants such as PSG, Bayern Munich, and Borussia Dortmund, the Red Devils are said to be ‘calm’ over Garnacho’s current situation.

They are confident that he will pen a new deal to stay at Old Trafford beyond his existing contract, which expires in the summer of 2025. United, it appears, still hold all the cards in this particular case.

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag has given opportunities to a number of younger players throughout the competition, but Garnacho is the one starlet that has grabbed his chance with both hands.

The Argentinian came off the bench in United’s opening game of the competition, a low-key 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad.

He went on to start back-to-back matches to close out the group stages, against Sheriff Tiraspol and Sociedad. He scored in the latter in a 1-0 win.

The 18-year-old then came off the bench once more against Fulham on Sunday, before scoring the winning goal to leave United three points off the top four, with a game in hand on fourth-placed Tottenham.

Following his goal, Red Devils club captain Harry Maguire described the Argentinian as a ‘special talent’ on an Instagram post.

Speaking about Garnacho’s development after the Fulham win, Ten Hag said (quotes via Eurosport): “First, he shows the mentality you need.

Under stress, he’s performing, he’s coming in, he has an impact, he has the belief. Twice in three, four days. So that is really good.

“I’m really happy that we can bring a young player up and it shows that when players deserve it, they get their chances. That is the first one, but we have to bring more.

“He’s great. I like that he has a big belief, and that’s great to work with. He likes football. He’s a real pleasure.”

Now, Garnacho’s performances have caught the attention of other European giants.
