Argentina had the advantage in the first 35th minute of the game when Molina slotted the ball home from a beautiful Lionel Messi pass to make the scoreline 1-0 in their favour at halftime. Lionel Messi extended his country’s lead in the 73rd minute of the game after netting brilliantly from the penalty spot to make the scoreline 2-0.

Crazy scenes came into play in the match as the Netherlands got the equaliser with two quick goals from substitute Wout Weghorst as the match went to extra time and then penalties which Argentina won 4-3.
