The Italian side tutored by Luciano Spalletti had an impressive performance in the encounter as they comfortably defeated Empoli 2-0 thanks to goals from Hirving Lozano and Piotr Zielinski.
Well, Victor Osimhen made another appearance for Napoli in today’s match as he displayed a convincing performance against Empoli.
The Nigerian International as usual was very sharp and vibrant on the attack as he made some deadly runs into the opposition’s defense line and also won an important penalty for Napoli.
Yet again, the Super Eagles Star was denied the opportunity to play the penalty for Napoli which I believe shouldn’t be so.
I believe Victor Osimhen is being too lenient with his denial to take penalties for Napoli. The Nigerian International is a top striker and needs these penalties to boost his goalscoring tally for Napoli this season. He keeps on winning them in matches but barely gets the chance to take them for Napoli.
Last season, Lorenzo Insigne who was Napoli’s 1st choice penalty taker at the time denied Victor Osimhen the opportunity of taking penalties despite being the team’s main striker. I believe things should change this season and Victor Osimhen be awarded the duty of taking penalties at the club.
