mum Vicki Parsons, who made the discovery in a pair of clean undies, said the animals – believed to be baby rats or mice – were so ‘fresh’ they hadn’t even opened their eyes.
Speaking to Yahoo, Vicki’s daughter Phoebe said they were probably only ‘hours old’ and that the only suggestion they were there was the family dog’s uncharacteristic non-stop barking the night before.
The young woman now believes the dog was probably alerting them to mumma rat’s choice of birthing suite.
‘It’s actually bizarre. I have absolutely no idea how the mum would have gotten in there,’ Phoebe said.

The mother was nowhere to be found so Phoebe’s mum took charge, whisking the baby rodents to the vet.
The vet promised to take good care of them and admitted they were too young to properly identify.
The video of the tiny bald creatures went viral prompting hundreds of people to give their own opinion.
‘They are 100 per cent baby mice,’ one woman said.
‘They look like mice, so cute,’ said another.
Others took a more no-nonsense approach.
‘They are mice or rats or in simple terms RODENTS that needs disposing of so they don’t keep breeding,’ one woman said.
