Younger brother Muhammad was on the books at Manchester City, and earlier this month he finally completed a deal to switch sides and join his sibling at Carrington.
He shared an image on his Instagram feed posing with the Manchester United number seven shirt, with a message, ‘here to create history’.
Muhammad Ibragimov leaves Manchester City
Muhammad Ibragimov and older brother Amir hail from Russia, born in Dagestan, but are eligible to play for England. Amir was called up and made an appearance for England’s under-15s earlier this year.
Muhammad was on City’s books, winning a youth tournament with them earlier this year.
He has several years to go to work through before he even comes into consideration at first team level, but nonetheless, Manchester United will be glad he is with their academy rather than City’s.
He is already making an impact for Manchester United’s youth sides, sharing a video on Instagram scoring a spectacular overhead kick against Manchester City.
Ibragimov accompanied his goal video with a simple message fans will love, reading, ‘Manchester is Red’.
Amir Ibragimov was the talk of Manchester United’s academy last season when he stepped up to the under-18s at just 14.
He went onto make five appearances, providing one assist, before being called up by England, and he has even trained with the Manchester United first team.
Now 15, Manchester United are not rushing his development, this season he has not played with the under-18s yet, but it’s surely only a matter of time before he gets the call-up again.
In a few seasons time, Amir and Muhammad may even be lining up together for the first team. But there is a lot of hard work to do on both their parts to get to that level…CONTINUE READING>>
