Lionel Messi played disappointingly tonight as he failed to create a good scoring chance for his teammate as the same could be said about his finishing.
He could also be blamed for Paris Saint Germain conceding the second goal of the fixture, because he didn’t offer any defensive support at all as he remained in the centre of the pitch without making a single effort to track back. He also lost the ball countless times and made it difficult for his team to win back possession.
Messi failed to guide his side to a much needed win tonight and for the reasons listed above he deserves to be blamed for their defeat.
