1. Erling Haaland

The first player to do so is Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker has scored a total of 29 goal so far this year. After getting shut out in his first EPL two appearances of 2023, the Manchester City star netted against Tottenham on January 19.

The former Borussia Dortmund forward followed it up with a hat trick when he visited Wolves in his next game. It should be noted that Haaland has scored two trebles in the English top flight this year. The second was against Fulham on September 2.

Mohamed Salah is the next man to do so. Unlike Haaland, this Egyptian was shut out for the entirety of January. His first goal of 2023 came in February when he scored the opener in a Merseyside derby on February 13.

It is interesting to recall that the 2-time African footballer of the year was the only Liverpool player that scored against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium on April 1. He also provided the assist against the Citizens on November 12.

2. Mohamed Salah

The only Englishman on the list is Ollie Watkins. His first goal of the year was netted on January 21. That began a 5-match scoring streak which extended to the end of February.

The Aston Villa has netted multiple goals on two occasions in the Premiership this year. The first was a double against Newcastle in April. The only other time was in late September when he got a hat trick in the 6-1 defeat of Brighton.
