Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi is a Nigerian, media personality and daughter of former commissioner, late Lateef Olufemi Okunnu from Lagos state. She attended the University of Lagos Staff School before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Hons) from the University of Bolton RAK Campus in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
She then earned a Master’s degree in Strategic Project Management (SPM) from the prestigious Heriot-Watt University, before moving back to Lagos to undergo the mandatory NYSC program where she served at a Lagos State Government School, and she is the founder of Slice Media Solutions, a top advertising agency in Nigeria.
However, after declaring her interest in the 2023 Presidency, BBC Pidgin has today interviewed her, asking her about herself, her ambition, and her relationship with APC national leader Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
Talking about herself, Khadijah revealed that she has been a politician for 15 to 20 years and that she has learned a lot from other top politicians during this period. She then revealed that she decided to contest for Presidency after what happened on 20th October 2020 during the Endsars protest and that she is ready to contest till the last day without looking back.
She was then asked about how close she is to Ahmed Bola Tinubu who has also declared his interest in contesting for presidential the seat, and she replied that she is somehow related to him and that she respects him too, but that doesn’t stop her from pursuing her goals of bringing solutions to the many problems in Nigeria and also reduce poverty in the country, and that the country needs a young vibrant person like her as her president to become a better country.
And that her goal is to solve many problems in the country, and she made mention things like bringing 24 hours electricity, good roads, reducing poverty and so much more.
She was also asked about how she intends to fight insecurity in the country and she said she plans to find solutions from localities by having securities in every locality to allow them to monitor and give information from their localities.
