Things got serious when he ended up in a London hospital with a bad case of pneumonia. He says the doctors thought he was crazy at first, but he insisted they treat his HIV too. That’s when he decided to go public.
In a recent YouTube video, Kats explains how he actually contracted the virus back in his college days. He admits to skipping classes to party with girls at nightclubs, and that risky behavior ended up costing him his health.
But here’s the inspiring part: Despite finding out over a decade ago, Kats hasn’t let HIV stop him. He’s been on medication, hasn’t touched a drop of alcohol, and continues to chase his dreams with all his might.
In fact, for the past three years, Kats has become a champion for others living with HIV. He talks openly about the disease, encourages people to take their meds, and shows the world that you can live a full life with the virus. He’s even teamed up with different organizations to spread awareness and support.
