Speaking in the interview, the Lawyer noted that they cannot be in court challenging the credibility of Bola Tinubu’s victory and at the same time, seek to form an alliance with him.
He said they would be hypocrites if they say that president Bola Tinubu is not the true winner of the 2023 presidential election and still desire to join his government.
He said they are maintaining their stand on their election petition pending when the judges of the presidential election petition court will give their judgement on the matters brought before them.
Kenneth Okonkwo said “in law, you can not reprobate and approbate, you can’t be in court saying that this is an unconstitutional pronouncement, that the man (Bola Tinubu) who did not win an election, is pronounced the winner and begin to talk about an alliance.
It is an unholy alliance. You can’t be preaching this way and try to accept another thing this way, that’s the definition of being a hypocrite. We are consistently maintaining our stand subject to the pronouncement of the court.”
