Mbappe has now scored nine goals in two World Cup appearances. He won the title in 2018 with France and plan on adding another World Cup title to his trophy cabinet.
France are among the favorites to win this World Cup and Mbappe still remains the best player in the national team.
Mbappe is a goalscoring machine, he has already scored five goals in this World Cup having scored four in the 2018 World Cup. The 23 year old has scored more goals at the World Cup than Cristiano Ronaldo, Maradona, Luis Suarez, Neymar, Henry and Rivaldo.
Kylian Mbappe said “When I didn’t speak to the media in the early rounds of this competition, it was because I just needed to focus on the tournament and my football. When I want to concentrate, that’s how I function, but when I was told the French Federation would be fined, I paid it myself because it was my responsibility.
“But I am here and focused on winning the World Cup again. We’re a long way from achieving our objective of going all the way and winning the World Cup, though. The first challenge is the quarterfinal, and that’s what we are focusing on now.”
Mbappe wants to win the 2022 World Cup and has continued to put on an impressive performance for the national team. The 23 year old could help France win the tournament considering his outstanding performances so far.
