Ten Hag needs to be backed in the summer transfer window if he is have any chance of succeeding in turning things around for Manchester United and get them back to their winning ways.
Thus, it looks like the Red Devils might be looking to reunite Ten Hag with two of his former players at Old Trafford. One of them is Ajax’s Jurrien Timber and the other is Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong. And it appears that Manchester United want to get the deals done quickly as well.
As reported by 90min, both Jurrien and De Jong are with the Netherlands national team at the moment ahead of their Nations League games and ideally, Manchester United would like to have them both in for medicals by the time they come out of the Dutch camp.

Timber is a centre-back, who is just 20 years of age but has already impressed immensely and is expected to become one of the top defenders in Europe in the future.
On the other hand, De Jong was a standout at Ajax under the management of Ten Hag but his career has not gone as one would have expected after he joined Barcelona. Thus, he could do with a change of scenery.
Both could be very good signings for Manchester United as they play in positions which need reinforcements. Now, it remains to be seen if they can get deals over the line or not.
