Several Chelsea stars are currently injured and this has dealt a huge blow to their premier league title race. Chelsea first team starters including N’golo Kante, Reece James, Edouard Mendy, Armando Broja, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are currently out on injury.
The Blues have spent a lot of money on signing four defenders this season. Chelsea spent £34 million on signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. Marc Cucurella joined the Blues from Brighton for a fee of £63 million.
Chelsea spent £75 million on signing Wesley Fofana from Leicester City while Benoit Badiashile joined the club from Monaco for a fee of £35 million.
Todd Boehly has continued to spend big on signing defenders but the Blues still concedes lots of goals.
Chelsea have scored 20 premier league goals this season and have conceded 19 league goals. The Blues conceded four goals during their clash with Manchester City in the FA Cup and they have been knocked out of the competition.
