Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is now in doubt after his interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan.
The former Real Madrid striker criticised Manchester United for what he saw as a betrayal and said manager Erik ten Hag did not deserve respect.
He has played in 16 games this season, starting eight of them. He has scored three goals and set up two others.
Reports say that the Red Devils don’t want Ronaldo back with the first team as they think about what to do with the 37-year-old.
Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United could be broken, but it would be hard for the club to do so because they want to get rid of him without paying him anything.
During his 438 games for Madrid, he scored 450 goals.
Along with other accolades, the Portuguese won the Champions League four times and La Liga twice while playing for Los Blancos.
