The 24-year-old Argentina International, who signed up for Ajax football club back in 2019 has been an important member of the first-team squad over the previous seasons.
The young centre-back was heavily involved for Ajax during the just concluded 2021/2022 season where he scored one goal and created four assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.
His impressive performances in the heart of defence is believed to have attracted interests and according to reports from The Sun, Manchester United are now in the mix.
The reports further claimed that Manchester United are really interested in Lisandro Martinez and are now willing to beat competition from Arsenal football club in order to sign him.
It is believed that Arsenal were the frontrunners in the race to sign Lisandro Martinez from Ajax but with Manchester United now interested in him, the Red Devils are ready to hijack Arsenal’s move for the defender.
And with the summer transfer window now open, it remains to be seen where Lisandro Martinez will choose to continue his football career if he eventually gets to leave Ajax this summmer.
