The Citizens continued to dominate after the break though, and Alvarez sealed the win with a close-range tap-in just after the hour mark, while Foderingham denied Foden from getting on the scoresheet with a good reflex save.
It’s a win that extends City’s unbeaten run to seven games and lifts them to third in the table, just two points behind leaders Liverpool.
