Even though Manchester City football club won the prestigious Premier League trophy last season, they are not resting their laurels and have been active so far this summer transfer window.
The reigning Premier League champions have completed the signings of Erling Haaland, Kalvin Philips, Julian Alvarez and are still willing to add more players to their squad this summer.
And if reports are anything to go by, then Manchester City have been linked with a move for young Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella before the summer transfer window closes.
The 23-year-old Spain International, who decided to leave Spanish LaLiga side Getafe before signing up for Brighton in 2021 has been quite impressive since he made the move.
The young left-back was hugely involved for Brighton during the just concluded 2021/2022 season where he scored one goal and created two assists in 39 appearances in all competitions.
His excellent performances in defence is said to have impressed Manchester City football club and according to reports from Daily Mail, the Premier League defending champions are keen on signing.
The reports further claimed that despite having their initial £30million transfer bid rejected, Manchester City are ready to submit an improved transfer bid to lure Marc Cucurella away from Brighton this summer.
It is believed that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola wants to sign a new left-back after the departure of Oleksandr Zinchenko and he has identified Marc Cucurella as a needed addition to his squad.
But then, it remains to be seen if Brighton will be willing to accept Manchester City’s next transfer bid for Marc Cucurella before the ongoing summer transfer window closes.
