De Jong is reportedly prepared to accept a pay cut inorder to remain at Camp Nou. The Red devils and Chelsea were interested in the Dutchman but he’s now set to stay at Barcelona.

The Catalan club owe Frenkie De Jong £17 million but the player and his agent will now hold talks with Barcelona about restructuring his contracts.

Ten Hag wanted to bring Frenkie De Jong to Old Trafford and was hoping to play him alongside Iker Casemiro. However, De Jong is set to remain at Barcelona.

The Red devils have already signed Iker Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia this summer. They have also had a bid of £76 million rejected for Ajax winger Antony and are looking to snatch Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona amid interests from Chelsea.

The Red devils are set to make a bid for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as they look to beat Chelsea to the signing of the Barcelona striker. Aubameyang and De Jong are teammates at Barcelona and they are one of the best players in their respective positions.
