Many managers are starting to use the possession-based style of play in modern football since it is thought that the team that has possession of the ball most of the time would have a better advantage in producing numerous opportunities for goals and winning the game.

1. Manchester City (11,522 Passes Completed)
Manchester City is anticipated to be one of the greatest ball-passing teams in Europe and the best in the Premier League while Pep Guardiola is still the manager.
The tiki taka style of play was popularized by Pep Guardiola while he was the manager of FC Barcelona, and he has used the same pattern of play at every club he has managed.
Since Pep Guardiola became the team’s manager, the Manchester City squad has dominated the Premier League’s pass statistics, earning the title of the league’s pass masters.

Despite not being at their best this season, the Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side has not deviated from their possession based pattern of play, as they have completed the second most passes in the league.
Liverpool would hope to regain their good form in the second half of the season, so as to better their chances of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
3. Chelsea (9,261 Passes Completed)
Chelsea has completed the third highest passes in the Premier League this season, but it is obvious that they haven’t really create useful chances to score goals and win games with their high passing numbers this season.
Chelsea currently sit 10th position on the league table, and face a huge task in qualifying for the next season Champions League competition.
