The Red Devils want to add another midfielder to their squad despite signing Christian Eriksen, as a report claims that Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is interested in making a move for an AC Milan midfielder.
The report further claims that AC Milan have set a €45m asking price for the 24-year-old Algeria international Ismael Bennacer, and United are willing to include 25-year-old Donny Van de Beek in the deal to reduce the outlay from a cash point of view.
Therefore, it is left to be seen whether a deal will materialize this summer.
Ismael Bennacer is a natural defensive midfielder and could be deployed as an attacking midfielder and central midfielder, making him a perfect alternative for Frenkie De Jong who is not willing to join Manchester United.
