Ahead of the game, there are certainly lots of things to be excited about and one of them is the return of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese has been seriously linked with a move away from the club for some weeks now.

Alongside Ronaldo, some of the first-team players who weren’t in the game or didn’t start against Atletico Madrid like Sancho, Shaw, Eriksen, Martinez, and others will be looking to get some minutes under their belt.

Manchester United Possible Lineup To Face Rayo Vallecano

Despite losing to Atletico Madrid, Manchester United’s performance was quite impressive, something the fans will definitely be happy about. And some of the key performers in their recent encounters include; Malacia, Fred, and Eriksen.

GOALKEEPER:

In goal, it’s highly possible that Tom Heaton will get the nod ahead of De Gea after the latter started against Atletico Madrid.

DEFENSE:

In the defense, Manchester United’s new boy, Lisandro Martinez could be handed his first official start in a United shirt. And Ten Hag could pair him with Raphael Varane after the latter didn’t start against Atletico Madrid.

On the flanks, Shaw and Wan Bissaka seem like the possible options after Malacia and Dalot players against Atletico Madrid.

In the attack, it would be very interesting to see whether Ronaldo starts or not after his hint and Ten Hag’s confirmation. Alongside Ronaldo, Amad Diallo and Jadon Sancho could occupy the flanks.
