Although some serious teams are currently wrapping up their business this summer, but a huge number of teams are yet to make a single signing. It would have been the same with Manchester United, but fortunately, they acted fast to complete Mason Mount’s transfer.
Ten Hag had wanted all his targets to join in time before they jet off for their preseason, but unfortunately, the takeover process had hampered his plans. Despite the delay in business, Erik Ten Hag and the club’s hierarchy are working to effectively bring in quality to the squad.
Apart from Mason Mount, Manchester United are keen on adding a ball playing goalkeeper, with Andre Onana their priority target this summer.
The Red Devils hierarchy are backing Ten Hag with his decisions despite the slim transfer budget. Inter Milan wants not less than €50M for their prized asset. Although they could get him if they sanction some sales, but for now financial fair play rules restrict them from using not more than £120M.
Manchester United also want a centre forward, which is the clubs main target this summer. They are open to selling Anthony Martial and a few others and that will give them the financial muscle to sign more players.
According to the latest report, Atalanta have rejected a €35M opening bid from Manchester United for Rasmus Hojlund.
The Danish striker is one of the youngest talents in Europe and Atalanta wants not less than €45M to get the deal done. Both sides, according to the report, are very confident that a deal will be done. Rasmus Hojlund will no doubt improve Manchester United’s attacking prowess because of his pace and clinical ability.
