Mr. Seyi Makinde, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Prince Dapo Abiodun and Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Governors of Oyo, Lagos, Ogun and Ondo states respectively alongside, General T.Y. Danjuma; the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji and Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona; will on December 16, at the Premier Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State, lead other dignitaries and captains of industry to the book presentation of Most Rev. Dr. Segun Okubadejo, the Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) and the Bishop of Ibadan-North Diocese.
The presentation of the book, titled: ‘Waste of Grace’, will also attract other dignitaries, including Otunba Subomi Balogun, Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN), Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), Chief Bayo Oyero, bishops, and priests, among others, the organisers disclosed at a press briefing at the Bishop’s Court in Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State last Thursday.
Okubadejo noted that the new book is instrumental to the restoration of Nigeria and a wake-up call for the Federal Government and state governors, government functionaries, private sectors, individuals, and all humans to put an end to the waste of grace and do the needful with the fear of God.
“Grace is having freely what you don’t deserve. You can use it rightly or the other way round. Many countries that don’t have what we possess as a nation have gone ahead of us. God Has blessed this country in every way, even in natural and human resources and that is grace. God Has even raised people, especially religious leaders to speak against injustice and bad governance.
The Patron of Association of Christian Correspondents of Nigeria (ACCoN), stated partly: “…I make them (his children) my friends, there is a girl right now who we adopted as our child, she never had sex before, now in the university, final year, but in secondary school she met my wife and said ‘mummy, I have feelings towards one boy.’
“It is not easy for a child to meet her mother and said I have feeling for one boy. So now we created an atmosphere of friendship with the children that they are able to tell us the temptations they are passing through…”
He, likewise, counselled parents and guardians to raise their children and wards in the truth of God’s words, noting further that stable families significantly impact on the society.
