Liverpool are currently tenth in the premier league table, and would need to win their match against Manchester City on Sunday if they want to move up the premier league table.
Liverpool performance in their last match was impressive. Liverpool defeated Rangers 7-1 in their last Champions league match.
Mohammed Salah who hasn’t been on form lately scored a hat trick, while Firmino, Nunez and Jota were involved in several goals. A lot of fans have blamed Liverpool’s poor performance on the departure of Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane was sold to Bayern Munich this season, and ever since his departure, the team hasn’t been the same. However, Klopp’s mistake wasn’t selling Mane, but his inability to utilize Firmino.
Firmino, Mane and Salah are arguably one of the best football trios. All three players won several titles and scored several goals for Liverpool. However, after signing players like Jota and Luis Diaz into the club, Klopp stopped depending on Firmino.
This season, Firmino has performed impressively for Liverpool, however, he isn’t still being used effectively by Klopp. If Klopp had utilised Firmino effectively, he wouldn’t have signed Darwin Nunez into the team. Firmino is currently performing better than Darwin Nunez, who was recently signed into the club.
If Klopp wants to return to his glorious days, he would need to start using Firmino effectively.
