Sowore contrasted his treatment by the military during their rule, stating that, ironically, they were kinder to him than the civilian regime currently in power. Additionally, he mentions visiting Shehu Sani in EFCC custody and claims that his presence contributed to Sani’s release.
According to him, “When I got out, I found out that Shehu Sani was also arrested and detained, so I went to the EFCC to go and visit him, and it was my visitation that scared them and got him released.
Why did I say this? is that, speaking about where we are, you’re not talking about the fact that those people who are in power are still tormenting you. As I’m talking to you, the military was kinder to me where they were in power than the civilian regime.
