Nyabuti said he asked for KSh 100 food from the shopkeeper when his son was sent away from school and was given but could not repay in time.
The shopkeeper allegedly accosted him and tied him up with the help of other people in the neighbourhood, and when the video reached Omondi, he helped raise money.
Kenyans have raised KSh 325,000 for a man identified as Boniface Nyabuti, who was beaten over a KSh 100 debt in Pipeline Estate, Nairobi.
To make matters worse, Nyabuti was beaten in front of his little boy, who had been sent away from school and was hanging out with his father at home.
To be fair, the little boy put up a brave fight for his dear dad and screamed as loudly as his little lungs could let him, but the man was overpowered by the shopkeeper and another person, and then later chained.
