According to well-known journalist Graeme Bailey, the Italy international would quit the club in the summer if Mikel Arteta’s team wins the Premier League championship.

The Italian departed Chelsea to join the Gunners on a deadline day in a move for about £12 million, in what appears to be one of the most unexpected developments of the 2022–23 winter transfer window.

His time at Chelsea, which he joined in the summer of 2018 after leaving Napoli, came to a conclusion after 213 games and victories in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Despite losing to Everton in their most recent match, Arsenal still has a chance to win the Premier League this year. With 20 games remaining, the Gunners lead the league by five points, subject to Pep Guardiola’s side match later today.

If he wins the league championship, according to Bailey, the midfielder may leave Arsenal and go back to Italy this summer.

“This may be the signing that wins them the title,” Bailey stated on the Talking Transfers Podcast. Their long-term transfer aspirations haven’t been impacted, in my opinion.

I was told by someone that they wouldn’t be shocked if Jorginho wins the title and then decides to return to Italy in the summer.
