He’s going to the Etihad Stadium to become the Central of Manchester City’s attack, a figure that the Citizens have lacked since the departure of Sergio Aguero.
The Citizens didn’t exactly missed their all-time highest Goalscorer when he left for Barcelona as they were able to secure the English Premier League title but the shortcomings of the club in the UEFA Champions League are the area where Erling Haaland’s expertise will be required most.
Erling Haaland has donned numerous Jersey number is his career. He has wore shirt number 30 at Molde FK in the Norwegian league and at Red Bull Salzburg.
In his first season at Borussia Dortmund, he flied the jersey number 17 before switching to number 9 for the 2020/21 and 2021/22 Seasons. It’s this same shirt number that he has wear on international duty for the Norwegian National team in the last 2 years.
The shirt number 9 is however unavailable at Manchester City at the moment as it’s being worn by Gabriel Jesus. Other conventional shirt numbers that Forwards usually wear like Numbers 7, 10 and 11 are also unavailable at City as Raheem Sterling, Jack Grealish and Oleksandr Zinchenko are currently wearing them respectively.
With Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus being linked with a move away from Man City in the summer, one of shirt numbers 7 and 9 could be available for Erling Haaland or, he could be lucky enough to get to choose between the two.
