The award organizer made it known that it could be forced to disqualify the Zazoo Zeh crooner following his death threat to co-nominees who were also nominated in the same category.
Portable earlier after the nomination was done took to his social media handle to share a video where clearly stated that the award in the two categories where he was nominated belongs to him and should accordingly be given to him, after which he gave a death threat to whoever received the award if he’s not given.
The Headies in respect to this issued out an official statement after reporting this case to the Police Authorities, asking Portable to retract his statement with a video of apology on all his social media handles after which he will present a written apology to all co-nominees in both categories.
The organizer of the award then made it clear that Portable who was nominated for the best street hip hop artiste and the rookie of the year awards should meet all the requirements and demands in relation to his statement to kill other nominees if he doesn’t win the award, or otherwise face the risk of getting disqualified.
