Spearheaded by the Ministry of Interior and PSRA, the campaign kicked off on Saturday, March 30, aiming to provide Guard Force Numbers (GFNs) to over 30,000 private security personnel.

The PSRA emphasized the importance of vetting and registering private security personnel as mandated by law, noting that the initiative would be expanded to cover additional regions in the country.

To register, you can simply dial *222*33# on your mobile phone.

The registration process involves three steps:

Step one: Enter your national identification number.

Step two: Specify your county of work.

Step three: Finally provide the PSRA registration number of the employing security firm.

Fazul Mahamed, Director General of PSRA, urged all security guards nationwide to participate in the registration drive, stating the significance of obtaining legal recognition.

“Registration gives you legality to work without fear and shame,” Mahamed emphasized.

During the launch event, Nairobi Police Commander Adamson Bungei echoed the sentiment, urging security guards to register for easy identification and compliance.

Bungei reiterated the importance of regulatory measures in ensuring public safety and professional standards within the private security industry.
