He also stressed the importance of governors being able to disagree with their predecessors. According to him, the governor as the executive head of the state will be held accountable for any setbacks incurred by the government.

He said in an interview with TVC, ”We have heard the governor on one side accusing Wike of taking money from the government even after he had left government. And that Wike still wanted to be controlling the pulse, the earnings of the state.

Wike himself need to come outside and clear himself wholeheartedly. One thing that is very striking for me is the fact that the political class lacks the fear of God. And they lack respect for the electorate; the political class is not accountable to the electorate.

Many Senior godfathers have been betrayed but they did not come out like this to destroy their own state. Why do we think the best way to address our problem is to create a greater problem? If the governor does not agree with some things his predecessor had done, the fact that the predecessor is his godfather does not mean he cannot disagree with him. This is governance, everybody has their own tenure.”
