Male infertility occurs when a man has a low chance of becoming pregnant with his female partner. It is typically determined by the quality of his sperm cells.

Infertility is sometimes linked to sexual function, and other times it may be linked to sperm quality. Here are a couple of examples of each:

a. Erectile dysfunction: Erectile dysfunction, also known as impotence, is the inability of a man to develop or maintain an erection.

b. Sperm count: The number or concentration of sperm cells in a given amount of sperm is an important factor in determining sperm quality.

c. Sperm motility: The ability to swim is a necessary function of healthy sperm cells. Sperm motility is defined as the percentage of sperm cells that move in a sample of sperm.

d. Testosterone levels: Infertility in some men may be caused by low testosterone levels, the male hormone.

Here are 4 ways men can boost fertility and increase their sperm count.

1. Engage in regular exercise.

Exercising regularly can boost testosterone levels and improve fertility, in addition to being good for your overall health.

Men who exercise regularly have higher testosterone levels and better sperm quality than inactive men, according to studies.

Excessive exercise, on the other hand, may have the opposite effect and potentially lower testosterone levels.

2. Consume plenty of vitamin C.

You’re probably aware of vitamin C’s ability to strengthen the immune system.

Taking antioxidant supplements, such as vitamin C, may improve fertility, according to some evidence.

Vitamin C supplements improved sperm count and motility while decreasing the number of deformed sperm cells.

3. Consume enough vitamin D

Vitamin D may be beneficial to both male and female fertility. It is yet another nutrient that has the potential to increase testosterone levels.

High vitamin D levels have been linked to increased sperm motility, but the evidence is mixed.

4. Minimize and reduce stress.

When you’re stressed, it’s difficult to get in the mood, but there could be more to it than not feeling aroused. Stress can impair your fertility and reduce your sexual satisfaction.
