Graham Potter’s team is presently 19 points behind the league-leading Arsenal and 12 points behind second-place Manchester City. Having said that, we take a look at Chelsea’s a must win matches they are to keep their top 4 hope alive

1. Crystal Palace

The Blues’ next game, against Crystal Palace, will be yet another London derby. Three points separate Patrick Vieira’s team from Chelsea, but they lost 4-0 to Tottenham at Selhurst Park in the second half of their most recent match.

In the first meeting between these teams this season, Chelsea prevailed 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Conor Gallagher. Chelsea cannot afford to lose this match. To boost their confidence they need a maximum of three points.

2. Liverpool

Liverpool, like Chelsea, has been a shell of itself this season and is currently ninth in the league, eight points off of a playoff berth. They lost to Brighton yesterday by 3goals to nil.

There are several fitness concerns for Jurgen Klopp’s squad, and they are also leaking goals at the back, giving Chelsea a great chance to pull off an upset at Anfield.

3. Fulham

In just three weeks, the Blues will travel to Craven Cottage for the second time this season. To begin the month of February, Chelsea will be hoping to exact some revenge on their west London rivals by jumping Marco Silva’s side in the standings. Chelsea must win this game

4. West Ham

This will be Chelsea’s third London derby in the following four games. Both teams are in dire need of three points after going on winless streaks, so expect a physical game against the Hammers. To save his job Graham Potters needs to win this game.
