If the sperm carries a Y chromosome then the baby will be a male. However, if the chromosome the sperm carries is X, then the baby will be a female. However, there are certain foods that can increase a woman’s chances of giving birth to a male child. Here are some of them.

1) Fresh fruits and vegetables:

A meal that contact fresh fruits and vegetables is very rich in nutrients and this is what your body needs. It is also good to eat a variety of vegetable as often as you can.

2) Breakfast cereals:

It is very wrong to skip breakfast. However, eating breakfast cereals can improve your chances of giving birth to a male child as it increases your calorie intake.

3) Banana:

Banana is a very nutritious and vitamin packed fruit. It has so many health benefits in the body and this is why you should eat it more often especially when you are trying to conceive a male child.

4) Take supplements like folic acid:

Folic acid is very vital, especially during the first stages of pregnancy. Therefore, it is good to take it in advance in preparation for conception.

The sex of the child is mostly determined by the father, this is why the father should take foods that can improve and increase sperm production. Some of these foods are:

Zinc is a mineral that can improve male fertility. Foods high in zinc include; oysters, nuts, beef etc.

3) Apart from food, Men should wear loose underwear:

Wearing tight underwear can increase the temperature in the scrotum and this can reduce the number of sperm produced. However, the female chromosome can survive under such temperature.
