The Catalan club need to balance their books ahead of next season competitions. Inorder to do so, some players need to leave the club this summer.
Martin Braithwaite and Miralem Pjanic are among the players who are creating problems for Barcelona. Ever since the arrival of Xavi to Barcelona, Braithwaite has remained on the bench meaning he’s not in Xavi’s plans in rebuilding the club.
Pjanic also plan on fighting for his place in the Barcelona squad but the Catalan club are already planning on getting his huge wage bill off their books.
Barcelona are also looking to cash in on Sergino Dest but he also wants to remain at Camp Nou.
Barcelona second choice Goalkeeper Neto has been linked with a move away from Barcelona on several occasions but he always chose to remain at the club. His contract with Barcelona runs until next summer and then he will leave for free.
Umtiti is also on the list of players Barcelona plan on getting his weekly wages off their books. However, they have failed to part ways with the frenchman as his high salary and injuries became a massive problem.
The French defender agreed to a wage cut in January which allowed the club to sign Ferran Torres. Umtiti deal meant that he will remain at Barcelona for a long-term.
