Newcastle 1-0 Fulham
Tottenham 0-2 Arsenal
Arsenal traveled to Tottenham’s in search of crucial points and were in complete command of the North London derby, holding a 2-0 lead at the break.
Arsenal took the lead courtesy of a mistake by Hugo Lloris as he palmed Bukayo Saka’s strike from a tight angle into the back of the net.
Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard, then doubled Arsenal’s lead with a bullet of a strike from 20 yards. At the other end, Kane and Son both had chances for Tottenham but were denied by Aaron Ramsdale’s brilliant saves.
Tottenham tried hard to get back in the game in the second half, but Arsenal were too strong as they moved 8 points clear at the top of the Premier League.
Havertz’s header saw Chelsea edge past Crystal Palace 1-0. It was a tight first half, with both keepers making some good saves to keep it goalless going into the break, but the better of the late chances fell to Palace in the second half, but they couldn’t find the back of the net.
However, Chelsea remain 10th on the table while Newcastle’s narrow 1-0 victory over Fulham puts them still in the top 4.
