Fans think Kylian Mbappe got a little bit over excited while hugging pal Achraf Hakimi after France beat Morocco to secure a World Cup final clash against Argentina.

The PSG forward, who is looking for his second World Cup triumph in just his second appearance in the competition, looked to have quite a bulge in his shorts during their embrace.

Unforgiving football fans have taken to Twitter to mock the 23-year-old for the show of affection in the workplace – with Mbappe later sharing the image on his own account.

A third continued: “Bruh enjoyed that hug a little too much.” A fourth concluded: “Mbappe enjoyed this a little too much…”

Sharing one of the snaps to his Twitter followers, Mbappe wrote: “Don’t be sad bro, everybody is proud of what you did, you made history.”

The forward had joked before the tournament that he would have to ‘destroy’ his pal.

Hakimi then joked: “I’m going to kick him.”

Mbappe goes into the final looking to add to his tally of five goals, with Lionel Messi aiming to do the same with the team-mates going head-to-head.

Messi is looking to win the World Cup for the first time in his last ever appearance in the competition, with Mbappe firing France to glory in 2018.

Messi has managed five goals of his own with three assists – meaning he could well claim the Golden Boot and Golden Ball even if they don’t win the trophy.
