Christian Eriksen has formed a strong midfield partnership with Casemiro since arriving at Old Trafford as a free agent from Brentford last summer.
The midfielder was at the receiving end of a challenge from Andy Carroll early in the second half and was withdrawn not long after the challenge.
After the match, Manchester United’s manager Erik Ten Hag was unable to provide a positive answer about his injury, he only claimed that it was an ankle injury and that it will take 24 hours to know the length of the injury.
Manchester United will have a busy week ahead of them with a back-to-back game with Leeds United and a visit to Barcelona for round 32 of the Europa League competition before their trip to Anfield on the 5th of March.
