The home side started the match with David De Gea, recently returned Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Marcel Sabitzer, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Wout Weghorst.

The visitors Leeds United started the match with the following players, Patrick Bamford, Degnand Wilfried Gnonto, Jack Harrison, Luis Sinisterra Weston McKennie, Tyler Adams, Pascal Struijk, Robin Koch, Maximillian Wober, Luke Ayling, and Illian Meslier.

The match started as expected and it took Leeds United scored the first goal of the match in the 1st minute of the game through Degnand Wilfried Gnonto and the assist was provided by Patrick Bamford.

The first half of the match was marred by injuries to two Leeds United players, Luis Sinisterra in the 8th minute and Pascal Struijk in the 23rd minute and they were replaced by Summerville and Firpo respectively.

Manchester United did all they could to equalize the goal but Leeds United held their nerves and saw that they ended the first half with a goal advantage when though, Alejandro Garnacho, Wout Weghorts and Bruno Fernandes all missed golden opportunities to score.

After the break, Leeds United forced Raphael Varane to score an own goal, 2 – 0.

Rashford scored in the 62nd minute to make it 1 – 2 before Jadon Sancho scored in the 70th minute to make it 2 – 2 which was the final score.
